CBM2 team members from Louisiana State University, Weill Cornell Medical College, and the University of North Carolina traveled to Lawrence, KS to participate in the 2017 all-hands meeting, held on 3/30/17 on the KU campus. The day-long meeting included research update presentations given by graduate students and post-doctoral associates, a poster session, and an evening reception at the University of Kansas’s DeBruce Center.

Following the all-hands meeting, team members participated in the Center’s 2017 External Advisory Board meeting in Kansas City, KS at the University of Kansas Medical Center on 3/31/17, where they were joined by External Advisory Board members Rich Superfine (University of North Carolina), Stefanie Jeffrey (Stanford University), Bruno Frazier (Georgia Tech), Bruce Gale (University of Utah), Paul Bohn (University of Notre Dame), and Bill Efcavitch (Molecular Assemblies).

The CBM2 Leadership team gave presentations on the NIH P41 multisite grant Center, four Translational Research & Design projects, Collaboration & Service projects, and Training & Dissemination components; the graduate students and post-doctoral associates discussed with the EAB members their research efforts in a poster session. The EAB was pleased with the Center’s progress over the past year, and took particular interest in learning about the Center’s efforts to expand their reach through various social media platforms.
